Pegasus 67: Hull number 1 emerges from the mould

On 12th of October, 2026, the first Pegasus 67 hull came out of its mould in Udine, Italy. The video below shows the moment the hull separates from the mould and is placed on its bed for the first time.

"We have been working towards this day for years, so I am pleased to see the hull in reality. I am proud of the team that brought the 67 to this moment. She will be a rewarding boat to helm, and one of the few of this size that one person can sail alone safely. I am eager to take her out, and above all to demonstrate her to her future owners."

Marko Paš, co-founder and designer, Pegasus Yachts

How the Pegasus 67 hull is built

The hull shell is a hybrid glass-carbon laminate with a high-impact-resistant SAN core. The outer skin is full glass fibre, a practical choice, while the carbon inner skin adds stiffness and keeps the construction lighter. The composite set is impregnated with vinylester resin through vacuum infusion, which keeps resin content low and delivers a consistent laminate and  reduced weight from hull to hull.

The choice of materials and lamination technology serves one aim: a light, stiff and strong hull. Low composite weight is a main contributor to the Pegasus 67’s displacement of 21,5 t, which is objectively very light for a bluewater cruiser of 67 feet. Low displacement also allows for a more conservative sail area, which makes a fast boat easier to sail and handle. A lighter yacht accelerates sooner, loads its rig and sails less, and responds earlier to the helm.
