Pegasus 50 Wins SAIL’s 2026 Top 10 Award

After independent review, SAIL jury reached an immediate conclusion: “yes, that’s a winner”.
The strongest measure of a shipyard’s success is when the yacht’s owners become enthusiastic advocates for the yachts. At Pegasus, that relationship been central to the company’s philosophy. However, recognition from industry peers and the yachting media follows closely behind. Thus, we at Pegasus Yachts are particularly honoured that our Pegasus 50 has been selected as a recipient of SAIL’s 2026 Top 10 Award.
The SAIL judging panel announced its Top 10 Class of 2026 after months of testing, sailing and careful deliberation. According to the SAIL’s boat review team, the Top 10 recipients embody fresh design thinking, meaningful technological progress, and broader industry trends that point toward the future classics of sailing. In total, nearly 40 new models were evaluated during the 2025 calendar year, and 10 were chosen as the winners.
This is what SAIL’s Boat Review Team wrote about the Pegasus 50’s win:
“It’s not often that the whole review team goes through a boat independently, and the immediate conclusion for all of us is ‘yes, that’s a winner,’ but there’s something irresistible about the Pegasus 50.”
In reference to the yacht’s characteristics, such as the the America’s Cup-inspired tandem keel, carbon construction and comfortable sail-plan configuration, the team commented:
"All of this comes together to create one of the smoothest, most refined sailers on the market."
The team praised the yacht’s gimbaled saloon, calling it “a real stand-out” and commented on the benefits of a level surface for eating or working while at sea. Pegasus’ dedication to day-1 blue-water readiness also received praise:
"In the galley, drawers have designated shapes to keep everything exactly in place (all accessories down to the bed linens and silverware come with the boat on delivery), and it’s attention to these sorts of details really set this boat apart as true blue water sailor’s dream boat."
