Even the decision to cross Northern Atlantic with Pegasus 50 was recognition for us by itself but winning the OSTAR race in extreme conditions is a full reward for our team’s hard work.

After 3265 NM (6046 km) in 21d 6h 0m 25s Markus and his Pegasus 50 crossed the finish line in the bay of Newport on Sunday 5th June.
Not many of us can imagine how life is in the Northern Atlantic. It means sailing a few hundred miles Northern than Titanic hit an iceberg and in a violent storm if not hurricane conditions. Where the temperatures do not rise above 5 degrees centigrade for half of the route. Fighting waves higher than three stories buildings where the deck is under the water for more time than above.
Just to finish a race such as OSTAR, you need to be highly skilled, physically and mentally strong and have a reliable, comfortable and safe boat.Markus, congratulation! And thank you for choosing Pegasus for your adventure.
